Hydrogen sulphide and volatile organic sulphur compound emissions
What are hydrogen sulphide and volatile organic sulphur compounds?
Volatile sulphur compounds, such as hydrogen sulphide (H2S), dimethyl sulphide (DMS), dimethyl disulphide (DMDS) and methanethiol (MT), are often the predominant odorous compounds in the emission of a wide range of activities in the bio-industry (wastewater treatment, composting, rendering, digestion, …). Several of these compounds are also used in the chemical industry.
