Acrylate, acetate and aldehyde emissions

Emission control system for acrylate, acetate and aldehyde vapours

What are acrylates, acetates and aldehydes?

Acrylates, acetates, and aldehydes are distinct chemical compounds used in coatings, plastics, and adhesives, often requiring emission controls.

The presence of carbonyl compounds such as acrylates (methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, …), acetates (ethyl acetate, …) and aldehydes (formaldehyde, butyraldehyde, acetaldehyde, …) may require a suitable abatement technique to prevent odour complaints and/or to meet the local emission limits. For example, concentrated emissions due to thermal breathing and product transfer to liquid storage tanks require a very efficient abatement technique.
