From a practical idea to an international environmental partner
Trevi was founded in 1992 in Menen by engineers Stefaan Deboosere and Jacky Mortelmans, together with Peter and Frank Vandeputte, who were active in container construction. What started as a practical collaboration soon grew into a company with a clear mission: solving complex environmental challenges through science, engineering and hands-on expertise.
From the beginning, Trevi combined technical insight with a strong understanding of industrial reality. That approach helped the company grow from a small team into an international environmental partner, supporting companies and public organisations with reliable solutions for water, air and energy.
Today, Trevi continues to build on that same foundation: practical thinking, scientific expertise and a commitment to making environmental technology work in the real world.
Trevi Group
The Trevi Group brings together several complementary activities. Under the Trevi umbrella, we deliver environmental solutions for water and air, complemented by energy installations that help organisations manage and reduce their environmental impact. In addition, Trevion provides energy supply contracts and energy management systems for both residential and industrial customers. Finally, sister company BiogasTec designs, builds, and operates biogas installations based on patented technology.
Our brands
Trevi brings together two specialised brands: Ipec and Bete. Ipec specialises in odour abatement using technologies such as activated carbon, chemical scrubbing, and biological treatment, and operates worldwide with a strong focus on the Middle East. Bete provides services and equipment for the treatment of harmful, corrosive, or polluting components in exhaust gas streams.
