Our history
From a practical idea in Menen to an international environmental partner
Trevi was founded in 1992 in Menen by engineers Stefaan Deboosere and Jacky Mortelmans, together with Peter and Frank Vandeputte, who were active in container construction. What started as a practical collaboration soon grew into a company with a clear mission: solving complex environmental challenges through science, engineering and hands-on expertise.
Scientific expertise, practical solutions
From its early focus on wastewater treatment and air purification, Trevi steadily expanded into new fields, including renewable energy, soil remediation and broader environmental technology. The approach remained the same: combining scientific expertise with practical solutions, and building strong relationships with clients and partners.
By investing in in-house R&D, pilot installations and a multidisciplinary team, Trevi grew from a local player into a full-service environmental technology group. Over the years, the company has delivered solutions for thousands of clients and now operates in 19 countries.
Still moving forward
Trevi has always grown deliberately, combining technical knowledge, on-site experience and a long-term view. Today, our team includes more than 200 experts, delivering tailored solutions across water, air and energy for both industry and the public sector.
Through continued investment in R&D, people and sustainable innovation, Trevi is still guided by the same principles that shaped its beginning: practical thinking, scientific expertise and a commitment to making environmental technology work in the real world.
