- Outdated surface aerators with low energy efficiency and high maintenance needs
- Ensuring continuous WWTP operation during renovation

- Unexpected concrete damage discovered during works, leading to additional repairs and time pressure
Result
- Replacement of six surface aerators with high-efficiency fine bubble plate aerators (SOTR: 650 kg O₂/h)
- Installation of energy-efficient Kaeser screw blowers and top-entry mixers → improved energy efficiency and reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Structural upgrades, including blower housings and conversion of green area into parking space
