Centralised solar monitoring across 18 sites

For Galloo in Belgium, Trevi implemented a centralised solar monitoring solution to safeguard performance and protect long-term photovoltaic investments across multiple industrial locations.

Challenge

Galloo’s core activity is the recovery and recycling of scrap metals. Each year, the company gives more than 1 million tonnes of steel and over 60 000 tonnes of metals a second life.

To support its sustainability ambitions, Galloo invested in solar energy across 18 locations.

The installation included:

  • 13 000 PV panels
  • 200 km of cabling
  • 52 inverters

The geographical spread and technical complexity of the installations required a robust monitoring system to ensure optimal performance, rapid fault detection and long-term asset protection.

Solution

Trevi implemented a centralised solar monitoring platform covering all sites.

The system continuously monitors production data, inverter performance and system health. Deviations are immediately detected, allowing rapid intervention and minimising production losses.

In addition to digital monitoring, periodic safety checks are carried out to ensure electrical safety and operational reliability.

Result

The monitored installations achieve a production yield in line with simulation forecasts.

Downtime is kept to a minimum thanks to proactive monitoring and rapid troubleshooting.

Through structured follow-up and regular safety inspections, Galloo’s solar investment is safeguarded, ensuring long-term performance and operational continuity.
